No circumvention

Gale does not bypass DRM, paywalls, logins or other access controls, and refuses DRM-protected media. Do not use Gale, or modified versions of it, to get around such protections.

Gale is independent software. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Google, YouTube, Microsoft or any website or service it can download from. All product names, logos and trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to describe compatibility.

Gale includes open-source components, such as yt-dlp and FFmpeg, that are covered by their own licences and provided by their own authors. See THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.
